For many people, the tattoos they had done earlier in life can become unwanted, unsightly or even an obstacle to attaining certain jobs. Thankfully, having an unwanted tattoo is a problem which can be safely and professionally solved.
Unwanted dark and multi-colored tattoos can be safely and effectively eliminated with our tattoo removal treatment. Using a combination of laser wavelengths that target different ink colors, high-intensity light beams break up the ink particles in the tattoo, revealing clear, ink-free skin with minimal risk of scarring or hypopigmentation (note that results vary from patient to patient).
Laser tattoo removal is simple, safe, and produces fantastic results. The advanced technology works by allowing the light produced by the laser to pass through the skin and break up the tattoo ink into tiny particles. The body then disposes of these fragments via its immune system. In most cases, laser therapy is the most effective and safest option for removing a tattoo.
We offer a free consultation and patch test for tattoo removal, with one of our skin experts who will discuss the treatment and any questions you have about choosing this procedure.
The treatment may be uncomfortable. It is very similar to the procedure of getting a tattoo. We can offer numbing cream prior to treatment if required and will give full aftercare instructions to minimise any soreness after the treatment.
Laser light targets the pigment in the ink that causes photo acoustic fragmentation of the ink particles. These particles are removed by phagocytes and drained out of the body through the lymphatic system.
There will swelling, redness and a white frosting over the tattoo straight after treatment. This is perfectly normal and indicates the treatment has picked up the ink. The area may then scab over and could take up to two weeks to fully heal.
The Harmony XLTM is a medical graded laser and is powerful enough to hit even the most stubborn ink, the number of treatments required depends on the tattoo, the ink used, skin type and quality of tattoo. The Recommended course is a minimum of 6-8 treatments/once every 8 weeks.
Yes – our consultations are complimentary and you will need a patch test 24hrs prior to treatment.
